Behind the Scenes of Building AI
Hi there! I’m Robby. I’m a software engineer, and I love building cool things with AI. Most of the time, when you watch videos about coding, you only see the finished, perfect version. But that’s not how real life works!
I started my Building Live series to show you what it is really like to create AI systems. In my latest session, Episode 006, I sat down to add a brand-new skill to my project, Clawdbot.
What Happens When You Build AI?
Building AI isn't just about writing code; it’s about solving puzzles. In this video, I didn't edit anything out. You get to see the whole journey, including the parts where things go wrong.
Here is what I worked on:
- Setting up a new skill: I walked through the steps to connect a new feature to Clawdbot.
- Live debugging: When a tool didn't work the first time, I showed exactly how I found the problem and fixed it.
- Integrating tools: I talked about how to make different parts of an AI system talk to each other.
- Real-time problem solving: You’ll see how I think through issues as they happen.
Why Real-Time Coding Matters
When you are learning to code, it is easy to feel frustrated when your program hits a snag. I want you to know that even for me—someone with a Master’s degree in Computer Science—bugs happen all the time!
